Terron Darby

Terron DarbyTerron Darby, working in the capacities of mix/recording engineer and producer/remixer, has lent his production prowess to a host of artists and labels. Some of his credits include London-based artist Natalie Williams “This Girl” -Lazybatusu Remix- out on Eastside Records and Black Opium featuring Fabio Morgera on trumpet (of Grammy-nominated band Groove Collective).His original productions/Remixes out on Sofitone Recordings, Chillin Records, Aqua-Booty, and Next Dimension.

 

He also was the head engineer for SFP Records, which houses four other independent sub labels. Currently, he is wrapping up production on a hot new single with his music partner Simone Giuliani.

Terron has also designed professional studios and tutored clients including Moby , Desmond Child, Charles Dye, Telemundo, HBO, CUNY College, NASA, Ozzy Osbourne, Lou Reed, Barry Gibb of Bee Gees fame, Chick Korea, Robbie Williams, Ricky Martin, and Lenny Kravitz, among others.

Terron has worked as an instructor at Full Sail –School For The Recording Arts in the ‘MIDI’, ‘Advanced Workstations’, and ‘Post Production’ departments.

As a DJ, Terron Darby has nearly two decades of experience in the world of dance and club culture. Terron’s DJ skills have lit up the dance floors from South Beach to Mexico City. In 1999, he joined a DJ collective called DHM (Deep House Movement) that introduced deep house to the forefront of the Miami local scene. Their ‘Phylos Sessions’ parties inspired many house heads and DJS for several years. He’s also held solo residencies at Blue, Tantra, Level, Deluxe, Ivy and W6 Lounge in Miami, and at various NYC clubs  like Glass Lounge, Deko, Sin Sin, and Libation.

He is currently freelancing, engineering and is an expert level Digidesign instructor teaching Pro Tools Certification Classes along side Roger Nichols and Charles Dye in New York, Miami, Philadelphia, Boston and Toronto for Pro Media Training (www.protoolstraining.com) while pursuing his passion: to DJ and produce organically induced songs that have the purpose to take you on a journey.
